We work with incident scenes (motor vehicle, crime scenes, etc.) regularly and as former death investigators were solely responsible for our scene work and evidence detection, collection, handling, and analysis; as well as the review of all records to support the investigation.  Dean's extensive training with fingerprints helped confirm the identities of multiple decedent's at the coroner's office (see his article in the Journal for Forensic Identification - Woodchipper Fatality Investigation and Identification).  In addition, Dean's experience as a deputy coroner / medicolegal death investigator, and forensic autopsy assistant, gives him a unique perspective and insight into the autopsy protocol and value of the autopsy reports - NALI / CLI 'Reviewing and Comprehending Autopsy Reports'.
